Interview with Elena Lecha Aliende

""Its use is intuitive for the patients allowing them to be more precise over the area of pain. It also implicates them in their own treatment achieving adherence to it."

Good morning Elena. How did get to know the existence of this new tool?

I have followed the creation process of 3TOOL on social networks and now after starting working in Valdespartera Physiotherapy I have had the opportunity to use it.

What benefits do you consider 3TOOL offers the patient?

Its use is intuitive for the patients allowing them to be more precise about the area of pain. It also implicates them in their own treatment achieving a adherence to it.

And for you as a physiotherapist, which of its 3 uses is most effective in your eyes?

The use 1 for trigger point compression I reckon is very interesting because you can influence the area of localised pain.

Is there any similar tool in the market?

There are tools which focus on the treatment of contracture but not one tool that unifies the three uses. That is the good thing about 3TOOL.

You were commenting to us that you are giving seminars to patients about 3TOOL. Could you tell us a bit about what they involve?

In the seminars we show them different applications depending on the muscles which are more affected. As physios we help them to detect where their strains are and we teach them how to complement the treatment with exercises.

Are they being well received? Would you recommend it to patients?

The patients are very curious and they are interested in the self-treatment of their injuries. Furthermore, we think 3TOOL can be a very good way of always carrying your physio in your pocket.

Many thanks for your time, that ends our questions regarding 3TOOL.
